SUMMARY:Wilderness First Aid (WFA)
DESCRIPTION:\nWilderness First Aid (WFA)\nDesigned for outdoor enthusiasts 
 who engage in half- or full-day trips in locations where cell phone covera
 ge is reliable\, and where advanced medical care is less than three hours 
 away. Course provides an introduction to wilderness medicine focusing on g
 eneral concepts\, basic anatomy\, physiology\, pathophysiology\, assessmen
 t and treatment. The course meets on the Western New Mexico University Cam
 pus in Silver City\, NM February 27\, 28 and March 1\, 2026 from 8 a.m. to
  6 p.m. daily. Participants are required to attend the full training in or
 der to receive certification. \nNOTE: This course can no longer be used to
  partially fulfill a wilderness first responder re-certification. Current 
 WFRs who need to recertify should register for the WFR/WEMT Recertificatio
